Growing up on a farm, I had a love of animals from a very young age.  Living in Ireland and it’s beautiful countryside gives so much richness of beauty and especially as you drive through West Cork, you will see many sheep just wandering around.  When painting “Was lost” and “Now am found” the second in the series, my mind went back to the Good Shepherd, and the image in the Bible of the lost sheep and the Good Shepherd who went to look for the lost sheep because the one lost was so important to the Shepherd.
